i noticed my 7-year old daughter that she is no longer active with making friends and she doesn't even want to go outside to play with other kids. i am wondering what seems to be wrong but i just can't point it out.

did you ask her what's wrong why she is not mingling with other kids anymore? maybe you should ask her now.

mikaela - November 14th, 2010 9:10 AM

maybe she just wanted to play alone with herself. there are kids who are just contented with playing games on their own so you should not worry that much.

brienne - November 14th, 2010 9:14 AM

she maybe aloof, yes, but there may be a reason why she doesn't want to play around with other kids.

mayberry - November 14th, 2010 9:18 AM

maybe she is not that into playing with kids anymore or she might have a problem with some other kids, ask her right away as early as today.

try to talk to her and tell her that it's healthy for kids to play with other kids and to mingle around.

shinkle - November 14th, 2010 9:22 AM

does she has siblings? normally kids tend to change moods and likes every now and then. just observe for now, if her mood doesn't change at all, then you should do something.

kids are known to be so outgoing and being very active outdoors with other kids. if you think this can be a personality problem, consult a specialist who can deal with it.

i don't think it's a major problem, maybe it is just temporary so don't get too concerned, chill out unless if she totally changed together with her attitude.

yeah i do think it is just temporary, it is just a stage in a child's life that they don't want to mingle much. you can help her by enrolling her to workshops to enjoy and meet other kids.
