my daughter started menstruating at the age of 11. I was told that her iron intake should be increased to help her body cope especially now that she is already menstruating. She does not like the iron supplement (tablet). What are other natural sources that I can provide her?

red meat, liver and eggs are just a few of the many sources of iron in the diet. girls are really risk of iron deficiency which can lead to anemia. it's good that you were able to consider this for your daughter.

meat is rich in iron. you can also try vegetables like brocolli and bok choy and other green leafy vegetables.

try fortified milk. we drink whole milk that is fortified with iron.
