My son went under an operation due to a ruptured appendix. He complained that his abdomen hurts and it never occurred to us that it was appendicitis. It took 3 days before we finally brought him to the hospital and the doctor performed an emergency operation since it already ruptured and they said it could poison him. Lucky enough we were able to get there in time. I would really like to avoid this from happening to my other children. Aside from abdominal pain, what are the early signs of appendicitis?

It's good that you were able to get medical help immediately...
Abdominal pain is one of the most common sign of appendicitis.. It is also specific to the RIGHT lower quadrant of the abdomen.
