im thinking of taking my 3yo to a nursery school instead of the daycare. do you think 3 is too early for "school"?

If he can cope with the lessons in nursery school then it should be OK. Remember that they have activities in school and in daycare they are usually just supervised.

my 3yo is still in daycare. but if the teacher at the school thinks that it is OK then i see no problem.

i think daycare is still the best. i dont think they are ready with a full schedule yet..

I think you should wait till he is the right age to go to school. Kids will be spending the next 20 or so years in school so there's no rush for me.

My brother started one of his kids early and my nephew got tired of school early too. so my suggestion is to wait until they are the right age.

I think 3 is a bit too young... I think it is better to wait until they get older before sending them off to school.

If the teacher says OK then I think it should be no problem.

i think 3 is too early for structured learning. young kids should just have fun!

IMO yes. I think kids should start school at the right age. My kids start school at 5 for kindergarten.

XeraSmith - December 12th, 2010 3:10 AM

i think the daycare center is better than a school for kids this age. i simply think that 3 is too young.

thanks for your suggestions. my hubby and I talked about it and he does not want our kid to go to school at that age too. so i think we are sticking to daycare for now.
