want to go to a vacation with my family but quite low on the budget. any suggestions on an economical vacation?

how economical are we talking about? to save plane tickets maybe you can drive to a tourist spot, just plan where your going to camp and eat so you wont have a hard time.
go for a long drive with your kids! you'll love it!

check out vacation spots near you. its also cheaper if you go to these spots when its off peak season. this way you get deals on room rentals.

there's a lake 2 hours away from our house that rents cabins. we go there whenever we feel like a vacation. its cheap, near and peaceful.

my idea of a cheap vacation is to go to my parent's farm. my parents have a separate guest house that we use and the kids can run amok in the farm without me worrying! Its quite convenient coz it only costs groceries plus gas.
