i was a late mother. i had my first child at 35. why do you think this is becoming a trend?

Because of career choices. I got married late too. I was 30 when we got married because I wanted to finish school and have a stable career before settling down.

Married in my mid 20's and had my first child after a few years. I can relate to wanting a career before getting married or having kids. This is why we had kids after saving two years. Kids cost money to feed and raise properly. So I think moms want to be ready for that.

Gone are the days where women marry early and stay at home as housewife. No longer will we women settle for that. We do what men do, We do what we want.

That is the general sentiment I see nowadays. And for a moment I thought "late mom" meant late as in R.I.P.
