Hello ALL!! For the past two months, I have taken my son with my husband on evening walks for at least a two-mile distance. I am getting smaller (I just fit into my first pair of size 6!), but I don't see the progression in the tummy area. I've started doing crunches, but it doesn't really seem to be working! I feel the burn the day of and worse the day after, but my tummy is still....there!

If you've gotten fit after birth, what are your secrets? What was your workout plan and eating plan!

well basically just having some simple brisk walking will really not help you firm your tummy part. i suggest you do sit-ups and some workouts that will focus on your tummy.

A few crunches a day would really help although the results is not instant but as you continue to do it and you increase the number of cruncher gradually it will help firming the stomach area.

You gotta do exercises that will challenge your ab muscles in addition to exercise that burns calories. I do pilates, it's great for strength training and muscle toning.

I agree with pilates. Don't know if you can but I do 24 hr fitness body pump classes and crunch time for abs. I know it might be hard to take the first step into the gym BUT they have daycare for $3 a child for 2 hrs or 19.99 for unlimited per child per month. I never worked out before and now I am in better shape then ever and you only have to go 2-3 times a week! One of the trainers who does the classes said that lots of water and veggies/fruit help with the belly area immensely. Good luck!

Yoga!!! I am a Yoga Instructor and lost all of my 70lbs of baby weight (TWINS!). Yoga is amazing for your entire body, and almost every posture works your core muscles, which are the ones most effected by pregnancy. Since my tummy stretched REALLY far out there (50 inch waist by the end) I still have saggy skin, but the muscles underneath are pretty taut. Make sure you try out a few different classes since all instructors teach differently to get what you want out of your practice. Good luck and hang in there!

drink plenty of water, run on the treadmill or elliptical ( cardio is great for shedding lbs!) and try an exercise ball its fun to use and the more your body is on the ball the more of a workout you will feel!

Work each set of ab muscles. you have to work the sides, top and bottom of those muscles.. Zumba is also a fun and great workout.

have you tried some sort of dancing aerobics? my friends invite me to go with them and try it for myself. i saw them change dramatically but it really takes a longer time before you see the results. they said results are harder than they thought but the effect is fantastic!
