Discipline is a control that is gained by requiring that rules or orders be obeyed and punishing bad behavior.

Living in one house with your child's grandparents, siblings or relatives, it would conflict the way on how to discipline the child. It will create confusion to the child to which roles to follow. And their will be instances that the child will be grow spoiled.

I agree with what you said. Also, try to communicate and explain to your family that when you discipline your child they must respect it. They need to understand that YOU are the Parent.

Angel.Carter: i agree! spoiling the child is so easy to do. sometimes, we unconsciously do it. we, parents needs to have a discipline and control our selves when we makes rules in the house and to our child.

I must say that I am a good disciplinarian to my 2 lovely daughters. I am blessed that my girls are obedient and God-fearing.

When there is a conflict, take the time to sort things out. If your children have been fighting, but you have not been witness to the event, listen compassionately to each child's story, but refrain from taking sides. thats how i discipline my kids.

Disciplining a child is very challenging.. I agree with all of your thoughts and comments.

there are lots of ways to discipline kids. for me the best way to discipline is to let them realize they did something wrong and i agree with punishment but not too much, just like what we called TIME-OUT..
