I have been trying to reduce weight and I have applied the "no rice" diet for a month now. I felt a little lighter though but it is really a struggle for me because I got use to a rice meal. Anything you can suggest that would help me overcome this struggle and get use to it?

do not starve yourself from a low-carb type of dieting, although it really helps but still it is not necessarily to do so. just exercise and eat a healthy balanced diet, drink lots of fluids, eat more of veggies and fruits and keep yourself excrete some sweats like going for a brisk walk.

YOU CAN ALSO DO IT SLOWLY THAT YOU CAN HANDLE UNTIL SUCH TIME THAT HAVING NO RICE IS NORMAL FOR YOUR APPETITE. I ALSO AGREE WITH BOBBIELYN THOUGH BUT NEITHER WAY IS SOMETIMES HARD TO COMMIT.

Hi again stephanie... I did try this diet but can't seem to succeed. I just jog and do little exercise to reduce weight and I think it helps but of course not eating much.

there are so many ways to lose weight other than sacrificing yourself for a "no rice" diet. if you are only particular with what you eat and the discipline when to say no for too much fats, cholesterol, and carbs types of food, then nothing will ever go wrong.

Oh well, thanks for all your points here. I agree that this is really hard to do but I think it is effective, if only I could do it successfully.

we should eat a little rice...eating no rice for even a few days will make you feel weak...you'll get sick in the long run.
