my friend's youngest son has a speech disorder while her other 3 children are normal. The doctor asociated his speech deficiency to his history of frequent convulsions when he was younger... i wonder if convulsion can cause other serious disorders... what can be done to prevent such from happening?

That could be possible since the brain is affected when convulsion happens. There are a lot of factors that can cause a convulsion and one that I know is an elevated temperature. Always attempt to lower an elevated body temp to avoid the possibility of a convulsion.

My son is also prone to convulsion that's why i do a close monitoring everytime his temperature rises. There was a time that even oral paracetamol did not do any good that I had to use a suppository paracetamol.
