anything that can go wrong, will go wrong - murphy's law

i want to be prepared at all times in cases of emergency. Aside from having a first aid kit at home what other measures should we do or be aware of?

in case of an emergency you need a clear head. you need to not panic and take charge!

Dont forget to stash some cash somewhere easily accessible in your home. This way you are prepared financially for emergencies.

There are article pieces going around the internet on where to stay in case there is an earthquake or landslide. Usually we are instructed that when an earthquake occurs stay under a solid part of the house like door frames, under tables or inside a car.

This is wrong according to these articles circulating. When you stay inside a car you will get crushed if something very heavy falls on top of it. The best way is to stay at the side of the car. Say the driver-side door. Curl up with your back towards the car's door, place your legs up to your chest and arms around knees, with head down.

Anyway they call it the triangle of life. Have you heard of this?
