i think it doesn't really go blind at all just a decreased vision, i think its called amblyopia or something.

the most common cause of blindness is cataracts and glaucoma. People with albinism also suffer from vision loss.

Really? Cataracts are easy to treat. I remember my dad having an operation like this and it was an outpatient procedure.
