Hi everyone!
Fortunately for me, I have been blessed with a healthy baby girl and she is now 5 years old. My sister has a 2-year old daughter and we think that there is something "different" with the baby. She seems to have "her own world", it seems like she can't hear us when we call her, she does not like hugging or holding, more like a loner. We had her checked by her pediatrician and the doctor said that it could be a case of autism... It just broke our hearts... :( Is there anyway that this can be reversed? Is there ever a cure???

I'm sorry to break this to you Carrie but there is no cure for autism. It lasts throughout a person's lifetime. Nonetheless, do not lose hope in helping the child live a close to normal life. There are a lot support groups that aids families and providing care to children with special needs.
