i know that there are different skills that a child learns as he or she grows... what i would like to know is that what is the best sport or activity for toddlers that can help develop the necessary skills that they are capable with their age?

I would go for swimming. With a skilled trainer, swimming is definitely the best kind if exercise at the same time you are teachimg your kid an important life skill which is learning how to swim.

how about enrolling him to martial arts or taekwondo? i heard they teach about self defense. I think that is also an important skill.

it is best to determine you child inclinations, be on the look out on what type of sports and how competitive your kid is. then you can encourage him to sports that he would most likely love.

My husband likes outdoor activities so the kids like going with him and go biking, kayaking and mountain biking on the weekends. If kids see that you are having fun with what you're doing then chances are they would want to immitate and follow you. Last week he and my eldest went rock wall climbing. So this is going to be their new thing.
