are milestones for development different for preemie babies and babies that were born to term?

yes. preemies just usually start out as small kids but after their stint in the nicu they are just like any other baby in the world!

yes. as soon as they catch up on the weight gain then everything is OK for preemies. I should know since I was a preemie too. Born 7 months premature!

Preemies are so cute and small. However they are also born with all their internal organs ready to go. So after they gain weight they should be fine!

they will reach their milestones about the same ranges for their corrected age. So this means that if an 8 month old baby was born at 7 months then his corrected age is 7 months old.
