You can only do so much as to instruct your kids or lead by example. However, the best way street smarts is learned is from experience. Being smart academically is one thing. You learned that through books and education. Street smart, as the name suggests, is learned "on the street" so to speak. There is no other school but experience that teaches you that. |

Let him experience the outside world naturally. Stop coddling your child and let him explore. There is a world of experience out there so let go the apron strings! |
