My niece developed diaper rash and we got a little confused because she was using the same diapers before and it was okay. Does it really take long time before you would know if the child is allergic tot he diaper?

Maybe this time you took a long time to take the diaper off? This is what I noticed if the diaper is not changed immediately.

or when changeds the diaper, it was not thoroughly cleaned which caused the rashes.

if the diaper is always wet then it's going to cause a rash. this is why it is important that you change often and the kind of diaper absorbs liquid efficiently.

allergies can be acquired. this is just the body's reaction. i suggest that you powder your baby's bottom so that the rashes will dry up and disappear.

They can develop an allergy on something even if they have been using it before. That is normal. Observe if she gets more rashes even if you cleaned & powdered thoroughly. When that happens recurringly, you can opt to go for another brand.
