I was thinking of having a baby blanket engraved with something like "Baby Boy Smith" for my friend's shower party for my gift. They've announced the sex but they have no name yet. And is yellow a unisex or girl color?

I think this is OK. You don't know the name and personalizing baby stuff is cute in my opinion. So go ahead.

And yes yellow is unisex.
