Is it Ok for the dad to be to not be in the shower party?

Men usually avoid events like these like the plague. So yes it is normal for them to be absent! :)

Men are usually absent in baby showers. But I've been to one where the dad to be was there and some of his friends. I guess it depends on the guy and his wife.

My husband was at the baby shower for our oldest. I wanted him to video tape the whole thing...hahahaha! For the second my mom hosted another one but asked one of my sisters to shoot the video for him... big coward! Hahahahaha!

In my circle of friends (and I have quite a lot), most had baby showers with their hubbies or partners, with the exception to a few of my girl friends who got pregnant without the guy responsible supporting them.

Yes... I can stand women easily but its quite different if there's a whole bunch of them talking about babies, their periods, weight gain and other chick stuff. I feel out of place and I think so will other husbands and boyfriends!
