What You'll Need

  • clear plastic lids
  • X-Acto knife
  • hole punch
  • fishing line
  • stick or dowel
  • jingle bells

Instructions

Cut the rims off the plastic lids. Next, help the kids cut out several leaf shapes from the clear plastic. If desired, you can create veins on the leaves by gently scoring each leaf with an X-Acto blade.

Your next step is to punch a hole in the top and bottom of the leaves. Top of each leafy by tying a 7- to 10-inch length of fishing line. Hang the leaves from the stick or dowel, spacing them out evenly.

Hang a jingle bell from the bottom of the leaves using short lengths of fishing line.

To create the hanger, tie the ends of a 6- to 8-inch piece of fishing line to the end of each stick.
