Crispy Sesame Chicken Wings

These delicious crispy wings will have your whole family watering at the mouth before you’ve even taken them out of the oven.

  • 20 chicken wings
  • 1½ tsp mustard, dry
  • ¼ cup and 2 tbsp butter or margarine, melted
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1½ cups biscuit baking mix (i.e. Bisquick)
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp milk (you can also substitute rice milk or soya milk)
  • 2 tsp paprika

1. Preheat oven to 425ºF.

2. In a mixing bowl, beat together the eggs and milk.

3. In a separate bowl, combine the biscuit mix, sesame seeds, paprika, mustard and salt.

4. Prepare chicken by separating the wings at the joints. Discard tips.

5. Dip the wings into the egg mixture, thoroughly coating the wings. Place the wings in the second bowl again, being sure to coat the entire chicken wing.

6. Using two 2-inch deep pans, spread 1tbsp of melted butter or margarine into each pan. Place prepared wings in the pans and drizzle the remaining melted butter over them.

7. Place in oven, baking uncovered for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden and crisp.
