Winter Fruit Salad

During the winter months, fresh fruit can be hard to come by, especially in colder parts of the nation. This winter fruit salad makes the most of fruits available during the winter months. Plus, it's ready to serve in less than thirty minutes.

What You'll Need

  • 8 navel oranges
  • 2 oranges
  • 4 large bananas
  • 5 dried figs (with some moisture)
  • 1 cup of raisins
  • 1/2 of cup chopped walnuts
  • 2/3 cup of sweet red wine
  • sugar

Instructions

Peel and segment the naval oranges; next remove membrane. Chop oranges coarsely.

Chop figs and slice bananas; combine with oranges in a large bowl.

Squeeze juice from juice oranges and pour over fruit.

Stir in raisins, walnuts and wine.

If desired, add sugar for extra taste.

Makes 8 servings.
