What is your stand in giving your kids candy at home?

We have some candy at home but it's really for my wife and not for the kids. Like me they dont really have a sweet tooth. They like chocolates and candy yes but if its there OK they might or might not eat it but if its not there then its OK too. ITs not something they actively crave.

we have candy. the kids love chocolate bars like hershey's and bonbons. I give them some but not too much as too much sugar can be bad for the health and teeth.

As early as now while your kids are still very young, don't indulge them with candies. It is not good in the long run. My eldest son who is now turning 5, has several cavities. We had him checked with a child dentist and he says it will take $3,000+ to fix everything. I'm still checking insurance if they will cover this or even part of it. $3,000 is ouch too much! :(

Children's teeth will not be permanent until they are 8 to 12 years old so it will be a long way. My kid is complaining of toothache and can't eat well.
