is a rear facing car seat really safer for babies and newborns? i dont feel comfortable with this idea since my son will be facing away from me when traveling.

I read an article in yahoo that rear facing car seats are better for infants and kids until 2 years old. this is because this kind of carseat minimizes risk during a frontal collision.

i bought one and it took some time to get used too but if it is safer for them to use this then its ok with me.

In the UK they require kids until 4 to use the rear facing baby seats!
