can poor eyesight in children still be corrected using other methods? (I mean by not wearing eyeglasses)

There is laser surgery but I am not sure if this procedure is done for kids. My MIL had laser surgery to correct her vision years ago. But Ive never heard of kids having this operation.

You can't do laser surgery on kids. It is not wise. Besides, I don't think the surgeons will advise it. Why? Because their organs are still developing. My doctor also told me that unless you vision has become stable enough, it is not advisable to get a laser eye surgery.

It is better to seek the help of an opthalmologist if you suspect poor eyesight in your kids. Some may be because of diseases and are not easily noticeable especially if it only afflicts one eye.
