can early detection of disabilities like autism and asperger's help those who suffer from them? are they able to lead "normal" lives?

yes. the sooner the kids are taught how to cope and are given therapy then the sooner you can see improvements. in some cases kids will be able to lead normal lives but it takes a lot of hard work.

I believe so. My brother had dyslexia but is now a special education teacher. he was diagnosed early and was able to cope with school work with proper training and coaching. now he is giving back to dyslexic kids.
